You will only be comfortable in your underwear if you choose the right size. Because sizing varies by brand, you will always want to take a minute to look at the sizing chart on a brand’s website before ordering.
Every brand is different, but the most important measurement will always be your hips. You may also be asked for your waist measurement. To get your hip measurement, take a horizontal measurement around the widest part of your pelvis. This should be close to the level of your buttocks.
If an underwear brand asks for your waist measurement, this is closer to your belly button and refers to the smallest area on your waist.
For both measurements, you want to keep the tape measure taut but not too tight.
You can skip this step and just guess, but it is always smart to actually look at the sizing guide.
