This is super low in the back and very low in the front.. the front lets you both hang and also pushes you up a bit. I got both small and medium and the fit pretty much the same, though the medium is slightly more comfortable. The material doesn't have a ton of stretch.

This Thong is very snug around the sides and back with a nice roomy pouch. It is cotton and holds it shape well and doesn't stretch much. I got a small hoping to avoid the whale tale, but this is so low rise in front and back without much stretch, so there really isn't any way for it to ride high enough for a whale tail.. I love the size of the pouch and how low it hangs in front. The small still fits OK, but I should have gotten a medium, so I probably will on my next purchase. According to the size chart, I should be getting a large.
