I have bought the jock version because of the support structure - I wear those for running.  I bought the brief version because of the comfort and support this system offers and they are now part of my everyday underwear collection.  The side access is a very nice feature both for putting them on and for the bathroom breaks.

The brief keeps everything up and out.  Haven't worn it for a full day but seems like your package would stay in place.  Feels comfortable and looks good with loose fitting pants.
